Can anyone advise? About mobile internet charges
I hope I am posting this in the right way and in the right place!
I wonder if anyone can help me...I'm sure this question will have been asked before I have searched but I can't find anything.
Basically I got a 12 month contract with o2 in April 06 with i-mode and I have used the feature A LOT.
This has meant huge bills...huge huge bills...well for me anyway.
Which I wouldn't complain about if it were not for the fact that I could have been purchasing the bolt on for £7.50 had I known about it. My i-mode screen links to a page with information about bolt ons and I was only ever offered £5 for 4mb and I did purchase this bolt on but what a difference the £7.50 would have made.
I only found out about it by talking to another user and I found I had to go through the motions of buying a new contract on the website to find it.
I phoned up and changed the tariff and purchased the bolt on however I'm really really annoyed that they didn't tell me about it despite the fact I had spoken to them about difficulties with some of the bills.
My question is - by complaining am I likely to get anywhere? I have paid over 1k in charges for the service in this time- that I apparently could have had for £100. I realise legally they will have this covered, but is it worth the effort to try and get any of this money back?
Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

You are right, legally you do not have a leg to stand on.
Whether O2 wishes to show any goodwill is up to them (and really depends on who you speak to).
There is an old saying: THOSE WHO NEVER ASK, NEVER GETS!0 -
Thanks Paul for your reply.
Yes I kind of figured that there is not a lot I can do but its just so unfair and irritating!! I suppose I should have looked through the site more often as after 5 years with them I'm only too aware that screwing people is how they make the most money...
I thought this would have happened to other people (it must have...I can't be the only one!) so I thought perhaps there would be someone who had already complained about it kicking about on here.
I will ask o2 to look at it though - I have heard that saying many times from my Yorkshire bred mother in a slightly different form - "If you don't ask you don't get!!!"
I'll ask. But I won't be on the edge of my seat.
Thanks again for replying though.0 -
