Hi Folks,

Thought i would share my experience with O2 Online Customer Service over the past few days.

I reported my O2 phone lost at 6am on Sat 09 July 05, i called network services to report it on 08705 214000 and the advisor i spoke to was great and very professional. He advised me that a bar had been put on the phone and no one could use it now, however if i found the phone i should call Customer Services and the bar will be removed.

Later on that same day i did find my phone and called customer services to have the bar removed and was advised this could take anything up to 24 hours but generally only a couple of hours is needed for the phone to become re activated again. The advisor i spoke to was very professional.

Today, Sunday 10 July 05 my phone still had not been re connected, so i called Customer Services back and the advisor apologised over and over again and said that a manager would contact me within 1 hour to advise what the problem is. Sure enough within an hour i received a call and i was advised that there was a technical problem and an O2 engineer would have to investigate the problem.

I was offered without even asking a months free line rental as an apology for length of time taken so far to re connect the phone.

O2 Customer Services have certainly excelled themselves when they were dealing with my enquiry. Hopefully the phone will be reconnected tomorrow at some point.

You must be joking! It took literally months to sort out my bill. I kept being charged for itemised billing, and each month when I phoned to tell them about it I was told that it had been corrected, then the next bill would come still showing the charge. In the end I had to write to the complaints department and even then it was two more bills before it was finally settled. I think they have the worst customer service I've come across in a long time.

Everyone has there own opinion and i stand by mine that they were excellent in dealing with my problem.

Nice to hear a good story...

I think with every phone company you will get good and bad service... so I wouldn't chose a company because of the service, but for the best deal.

agree with mike, o2 sometimes are great at other times its like you are still with 3 and calling India, darn the muppets @ o2, applause for those who know what they are doing!

once your tied to contract they are all much the same, best going for a cracking deal

Ive done the big 4 over the years, all are equally hopeless at one point or another, 3 being the ultimate exception... usually always hopeless

cant say about Virgin though as I have never used them
If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
    If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:
    :D

I agree with you Mike, its always best to get a good deal but to get good service as well is a nice little bonus.
