Wow Jet, that's great - I'd love to cycle to work, although it might be a little tricky with 2 kids riding pillion :D.

When I got rid of me car, hubby said he was going to cycle to work on the days I needed the car (Fridays), but he keeps waking up late and having to ring a taxi. I would swear he's doing it on purpose! :rotfl:

Cambridge is full of the [STRIKE]mentally ill [/STRIKE] academics who cycle on main roads in busy traffic with two or often three kids attached to a single bike....

Ways to atttach a child or two to a bike:

Put ice-cubes in the freezer on Thursday night for his "extra-special alarm call". He'll only need it once...

That was a typo and not my Yorkshire accent coming out! :rotfl:

(and it's been quoted twice - 3 times if you count this - so I can't just correct it and pretend it never happened :o)

well, it must be snowing hard up north now. I've just had to look up the A66 for someone on AQA and it's closed between Penrith and Scotch Corner due to snow.

    Batten down the hatches!!

Yep, we're not quite that far north, but it's just started snowing here - why does it always do it just before the school run?! :p

Don't read too much into that. The A66 is *frequently* closed there due to inclement weather.

Anybody want a snow picture? :rotfl:
