Possibly the biggest bargain of all - I went to Lidl just as it opened last Sunday morning, and they were GIVING AWAY sirloin steak, frying steak and diced steak that had to be used by that day. Good job I've got a big freezer!0

can i just say a few weeks ago - asda - reduced chumps chops (2 per pack) from £4.97 per pack to 5op each - four packs is £2 and a saving of £17.88
perhaps i should tell that to that awful £150 a handbag woman at work.......... :rotfl: But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

That handbag woman would only be impressed if she thought that you had spent a fortune on something - not saved one - silly woman (her I mean)

I see this as a challenge. I'm going to Tesco tomorrow, but I doubt they'll have much yellow sticker stuff on a Monday. I'll try my hardest though!

I always make sure that I go shopping in Asda a few hours before closing the day before any bank holiday as they have an extra days worth of "whoops" up for grabs."And crawling on the planet's face,
Some insects called the human race,
Lost in time, and lost in space,
And meaning"0 -
wow, I'm impressed with the Oldstyler competitive spirit - if I hear of any Ikea style yellow sticker riots I'll feel really guilty!
I am impressed that Lidl's gave stuff away for free though
In the spirit of the competition have worked out that my £2 purchase should have cost £11.20
That doesnt beat the steak total - but I think we should have extra points for variety
