excellent bargains! What is the best day to go bargain hunting round the supermarkets?? Today I got two packs of 6 burger buns at 40p each from sainsburys so they are in the freezer (boyf LOVES home made burgers, and thinks McD's is filthy plastic now).

ahhh, now this is serious strategy talk. And I have decided it depends who shops at your local supermarket.
For instance I live in Liverpool Street so the people who use the supermarket are all the city types - everyone goes out for lunch on Fridays - so on Friday evening there are tons of left over sandwcihes and pre-packed salads all marked down. Generally its not a day though - but just niopping in right before they close....
I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!
Money to raise for tuition fees: £3000

Ok - felt proud of myself with this one!! :D
Yesterday went to Waitrose. Got two tubs of snow crab in mayo - 20p each from £2.99 each, two pasta salads,20p each from £1 each and two ice berg lettuces for, you've guessed it,20p!
    Total cost of supper £1.
    Should have cost £8.78.

I think Monday morning is a good day for reductions - all the stuff they couldn't sell at weekend.
