o2/CPw Please Help
Hey.
I'm just wondering if anybody has had a similar experience to me on this case, and what you did/what you suggest.
Basically, I took out a contract with CPW on o2...but there was a problem with the paperwork that could ahve had an impact at a later date. So, I rang CPW and discussed it, and they said the best thing to do is cancel this contract, and then take it out again.
I did so (within 7 days of recieving the handset, making no calls, sending no texts)
CPW didn't properly notify o2 or something that I cancelled my contract, so they kept billing me.
They took the first months payment, but as soon as I found out they did, I cancelled the Direct Debit.
Now, 4 months down the track, they still have my money, but worse, they have got a debt collecting agency on my case trying to get the money they claim I owe them for the months that have followed since I took it out.
I don't owe them a penny.
This is ultimately CPWs fault for not notifying o2 properly, but over the 4 months, I must have spent hours trying to resolve this issue with CPW/o2, but still nothing.
I know have until late Feb to make a payment (which I won't be making) to pay off o2 what they say I owe them.
Being the good sports they are, they have informed me they won't charge me a reconnection fee for when they are paid - very useful considering I don't have the handset or SIM as I sent it back.
Should I start finding myself some legal aids and prepare for a potential court appearnance - or will the debt collecters want to pay a visit to my house to try and scare me before such an event?

Still no cheques - rang them this mornig tos ee where the cheques were,a nd the lady said I should get them in around a week.
I've also sent both CPW/o2 Head Offices letters explaining the situation and asking for a swift resolution. I sent the letter last Friday but no response as of yet.0
