pingu...i put my new vac together but have found it to be really "blowy"...ie there is a load of air coming out from what appears to be the bit where the wire goes into the main part of the vac.I dont know if its supposed to do this but its beginning to bug me now.It is so powerful that my curtains blow allover the place whenever i vaccuum near them and its made a few of my daughters posters fall off.
Obviously im not sure if this is supposed to happen but think i might ring the helpline number on the backof the machine tomorrow.

Got one of these for my Mother it arrived yesterday it is noisy and blowy but for the price you can't complain, so impressed I've ordered one for myself from Empire Direct, not quite the same model no. but as the model was on the instruction leaflet it can't be very different0

have just phoned vax and they say it is perfectly normal for this machine to be quite blowey.apparently the air vent is situated just under where the wire goes in and that is why the air comes out there which is to be expected.

Received mine this morning
Pro's - picks up dog hair like a dream, with so little effort. It is very light compared with others that we have owned to carry up the stairs.
Con's - had to build it using a screwdriver when it arrived, power cable shorter than most that i've used before (and my house is not that big!), not straight forward to use the accessories (took me a little while to suss it out, unless i was just having a thick moment).
Overall i'm pleased with it as it picks up the dog hairs so well.
