6.15% is not a bad rate, is it the best fixed rate ISA at the moment that allows transfers.
Incidentally are these fixed rate ISA's really a good idea? Especially if interest rates go up again and the fixed rate is below average.0 -
Icesaves fixed rate ISA at 6.30% is an option while transferring some of my money in the regular Icessave account into an ICICI account.
Does anyone think this is a good option?0 -
The Icesave ISA is variable, not fixed, and is currently at 6.1%. The easy access saver is 6.3% but again is variable.0

Lloydstsb are doing 6.5% fixed for a year, with transfers up to £9000, just been on their baking site, not sure if you have to be a customer though??0

I have £15000 in an ISA at the moment paying 5.5% and £15000 in an IceSave account. I want to transfer my ISA into a higher interest rate ISA account but the only one recommended was IceSave which accepts transfers.
However I am reluctant to have over £30,000 tied up within IceSave as I would never be sure my money was safe.
What are my options and does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
You could move all the ISA to Icesave to make the most of your tax free savings and move your savings to another vendor, see Martin's top savings accounts page. I have a Bradford & Bingley Internet Saver paying 6.4%, there are however others as per above ICCI above paying 6.41%, Kaupthing 6.5% (kaupthingedge.co.uk), West Bromwich BS 6.55% plus others.
Icesave are covered by the banking code so you are covered up to £35K should anything go wrong."Every Pounds A Prisoner "

Hi
Its the Icesave ISA, Martins money saving tip recommends this ISA for all transfers.
Then I'm afraid you are mistaken on this bit.
The rate is variable, just like the standard Icesave account, the guarantee refers to how it will price in relation to the BOE base rate. From their site.Originally Posted by jizba
Sorry your correct it is 6.10% however this rate is guaranteed to 2013.We guarantee the AER will beat Base Rate* by at least 0.30% until 31 January 2011 and at least match Base Rate until 31 January 2013Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!
