Oil versus Gas

I looked at a wood fired Aga. Yep they are costly, and free wood about unless you own your own forest.
It's a toss up with it all, but with 40 years max left in me, it's the next 20 that I want to plan for. I don't think oil will come down significantly unless we occupy the Middle East, Electricity may get stable if we do all the Nuke, Wind, Wave, Solar options, Gas if we build some storage. The only guaranteed long term option is Electricity with Nuke power stations.0 -
Avonne, unfortunately I have to agree with you. Although I hate nuclear with a passion, I can't see an alternative

If you believe some people then we are at the peak of oil and its only going to get more expensive. Although I don't think anyone can honestly have a real idea what the hell is going to really happen re oil.
Suddenly investing in an acre of coppiced woodand for firewood seems a jolly good idea, lets hope land prices come down a bit and then I might well be tempted.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
