    Hi
Thats all very well what you are all saying about MBNA cards but what I would like to ask then, is, how come then on these forums you come across several people who manage by some method to own more than 1 MBNA card, and at the same time? How did they do it?

I've got a few MBNA cards. A couple of Mastercards and a Visa Platinum Plus. Probably £30,000 credit limit in total. Do I use them? No.
MBNA cards do have a useful not oft publicised feature. So it's only to utilise this feature that I use Platinum Plus card.

So, in short, try applying for their Mastercard, if they have a suitable offer.

    Hi Happyhero

It is because MBNA appear to have changed their policy a few months ago when they stopped giving multiple cards... or perhaps it is just a Virgin thing and the target market for the Virgin card is specifically aimed at new customers. Last year I had an MBNA Platinum and an Abbey (MBNA) card at the same time but closed them both down a few months ago before applying for a Virgin card.

I assume that you were accepted for the Virgin card? (or are you still waiting to hear)

Just by way of a quick update. I have reapplied to Virgin and have now been accepted :)
