Broken Electrolux Oven

Hello - everything keeps breaking down at the moment - car, computer screen and now the OVEN! It's an electric EOB976 Electrolux. The fan is working but there's no heat. I suppose it must be a problem with the thermostat. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this cheaply I'd be really grateful. Is it a job that a not-extremely-technical person could do themself...!?!? Or is it something that's beyond economical repair. It was in the house when we moved here about 3 years ago and probably isnt' much older than that. Thanks for any - sensible! - advice anyone can offer.

I Have exactly the same problem. Did you ever find any solution to the problem or does anyone else know what to do in this situation?
    Any advice greatly appreciated
  • Must be catching, winter sickness virus for cookers, my ovens just gone down as well, phoned up for spare timer unit and it's £118, still I suppose it's cheaper than an new cooker. Certainly saved on the warrenty though as that costs £149 a year and so we've saved 3 x £149 so I suppose I should think rather than £118 is a lot for a timer that really I've saved £329 by not having wasted money on an annual warrenty fee.
