Broken Electrolux Oven

Hello - everything keeps breaking down at the moment - car, computer screen and now the OVEN! It's an electric EOB976 Electrolux. The fan is working but there's no heat. I suppose it must be a problem with the thermostat. If anyone has any advice on how to fix this cheaply I'd be really grateful. Is it a job that a not-extremely-technical person could do themself...!?!? Or is it something that's beyond economical repair. It was in the house when we moved here about 3 years ago and probably isnt' much older than that. Thanks for any - sensible! - advice anyone can offer.

I Have exactly the same problem. Did you ever find any solution to the problem or does anyone else know what to do in this situation?
Any advice greatly appreciated

Must be catching, winter sickness virus for cookers, my ovens just gone down as well, phoned up for spare timer unit and it's £118, still I suppose it's cheaper than an new cooker. Certainly saved on the warrenty though as that costs £149 a year and so we've saved 3 x £149 so I suppose I should think rather than £118 is a lot for a timer that really I've saved £329 by not having wasted money on an annual warrenty fee.
