  • personally i wouldnt have been that bothered the box isnt important as long as the drums themself work and if i was worried about the look of the box of an item for a gift i would buy it new....you were lucky the seller decided at 15% cause if you left it to paypal you would have had to send it back at your own cost.

If only that were the case, they'll refund the buyer regardless of whether they send the item back or not and particularly if no tracked shipping method was used.

What I liked about this is the seller's attitude. "Not my responsibility if item gets damaged by Royal Mail" , it is absolutely his responsibility to get the item delivered in good condition to the buyer by whatever method.

If the guy had apologised in the first place then I'm guessing the OP may well not have made that claim.

Good on you for teaching the seller a lesson!

TBH i probably would have let it slide for £2.00 and a sorry. But the sellers attitude wound me up and foolishly i let it cloud my judgement.

I was fairly annoyed that it arrived with a hole in the front and was pretty battered. I dont mind buying second hand goods if they're in good nick i just dont wanna look like a cheapskate giving an 8yr old kid a really battered gift i guess...

Im still half tempted to see what paypal say, im not paying to return it to him tho as i balk at the idea of shelling out a further £6.00 that he wont refund...

Your not sounding like any hippy I've ever met Adam wheres all the peace and love man?

Generally i am Mr Peace & Love, however this was bought for my 88yr old nan to give to the boy, and as somebody else had said if the guy had of apologised to begin with i probably wouldn't even have bothered...

As it was he wound me up blaming everyone else/accusing me of damaging my own purchase! Mr Peace & Love i may be but i don't take s&%t from anyone, let alone someone i'm paying!

    Part of the Furniture
is the box relevant to the item, ie shoe box or was it just packaging?
