As my user name is not the name of my company, I would like to keep it. I am not here to pick up leads. No one complained about Mortgage Mamma when she she used to post on this forum, and from her user name it was obvious she was a broker.

The company name/ website was always a no-no, I started this thread about names ... for the reasons that have been discussed . Things were mentioned about names of brokers before and not taken up .... my personal view ( and thats all it is- I am not a MOD and only started thread to get opinions ) is that a name such as MortgageMamma should not be used, but even that is way less obvious than yours/ some others ( and yours was only one of them that made me raise the question.... in fact as your count was so low not sure it was even yours ) , and suppose it was an established name by the time it was first discussed/ now.

In fact Mortgageman was the first real mortgage broker on here.... perhaps its just that times have changed .

Also I notice that another broker ( who has just gone up in my estimations) actually thought your were touting for business in your first post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=8309743 although the same can be said for many a newbie

I just re read the post I thought that by stating I was on the south coast the poster would understand that I was not looking for business.

I think there is a fine line, and some will always try and cross that line. Where this board is so good, is that the established advisers and regular posters on here are very quick to report any breach of the code
