The pizza was lovely!
lol. What an absolutely disastrous promotion this has been. All these people going to Perfect Pizza/Papa Johns for the first time, only to be refused their free pizza, or spoken to rudly. And if you actually get your free pizza the staff act like youve just robbed them of their bloody wages.
For christ sake, what a mess ... I for one shall be avoiding these restaurants, as I guess will many thousands of others who received the same reception at their local pizza restaurants over this offer.0 -
For those having trouble getting there local pizza places to accept the vouchers.......why not simply call them up & place an order for a 10" Pizza with your chosen 4 toppings & tell them you will be over to pick it up in 15 minutes (or when they say it will be ready). At this point don’t mention anything about paying with a voucher.
Once you get there & they bring your pizza to you & say, "that will be £8.99", simply had over your voucher. I'm sure once they have made the pizza they are unlikely to refuse it & should accept it (albeit a bit grudgingly).
If they still point black refuse to accept it, simply ask them where is the nearest dominos/pizza hut, as if you plan on paying full price you may as well go to your regular place0 -
Do you reckon we could take the tabasco back to Tesco and get our moneyback because the offer is not being accepted?0

Someone is culpable for this bungled affair. If the franchises have been hit by people exploiting this deal maybe one voucher per household could have suitably applied... I have two vouchers to be used.
I don't wish to feel guilty or be refused when I eventually go to redeem them and will do as V1NNY suggests. There are two outlets in my local area so hopefully I'll be able to enjoy my freebies.
It's possibly been mentioned here before, there is a discrepancy on the closing date of the offer on the box and token sheet.0 -

Oh ive tried that one Vinny when I ordered just 2 pizzas once. As soon as I arrived and whipped out my vouchers to collect the pizzas, the guy looked at me as if I had just said something rude to him, and promptly said he would give me 2 pizzas on this occasion, but next time i could only order 1 pizza with the voucher.
So next time, i intend on making two seperate phone calls, me and hubby will walk in seperately - and will collect our orders as if 2 individual orders. What a complete joke. :mad:0 -
my local Papa Johns have accepted all my vouchers, and most the time been okay about it. I have had them moan once or twice though.
I still have two vouchers to use (i have probably used about 15 although got other people to go pick up the pizzas) so well its nearly all done with.0 -
The Islington store in London refused to accept the voucher. Most dissappointing; was hoping not to have to cook for one night.0

I agree. The whole thing is a disaster. I contacted head office after my store wouldn't accept the voucher. I then had to post my voucher (at my expense) to head office so they could replace it with a free pizza voucher that would be accepted by the store!
Maybe the info on the tabasco box should have read: "Possible free pizza! Simply take this voucher to your local store, where the staff may refuse to take it and you will have to cook for yourself instead - or maybe buy a pizza from one of our competitors. Then write us an email which we will eventually get around to replying to, and we will ask that you post us your voucher so that we can send you a different one that your local store might accept! Then take this new voucher to the store to claim your free* pizza.
*free may mean the price of a stamp and wasted petrol. Oh, and a couple hours of your time chasing us up about this."0 -

I also agree this promotion has been a farce.(Only if you have visited an outlet that is not participating in the offer). It's that word 'participating' on
the voucher that decides whether a store manager wants to be part of this offer now, then or anymore. They also will be very aware that some people if not all are coming back for more free pizzas which once the word has got round ,must be affecting their sales profits.
I am interested to hear that Papa Johns HQ will be sending you out a different voucher that will be accepted.Disappointed they are not paying the postage.
Having read some posts on here I am disappointed that some of you have not emailed the marketing dept.at Papa Johns. If you have a voucher or vouchers.which is more likely the case, email them at once. They do phone your store and usually can reverse the decision.See my earlier posts on this that mentions the up and down tactics at the Crawley Papa johns.0
