We loved the Maldives, I say it everytime its truely Paradise, and yes just take flip flops kind of footwear,so lovely No cars, so peaceful listening to the gentle waves in the evenings, on the jetty sipping B @ C
with the sand between your toes, some great trips too.....Enjoy...
I would love to be a Travel Agent :j0 -
If you're British, you get a visa on arrival and it's free. Not sure why jillie1974 had to pay $10. You definitely don't need to sort visa in advance.
US dollars and credit card for the resorts. The local currency is Maldivian Ruffiya but you won't need it on your resort at all.
IF you do a day trip to Male' then you could pay in Ruffiya if you wanted to but everyone will accept dollars and, as a tourist, you'll be told the price in dollars anyway. The only thing in Male' that might be worth paying for in Ruffiya will be fruit at the local market. You can withdraw Ruffiya from the ATMs in Male'.0
