I am currently in conersqtion with Three in regard to a customer who got his phone 2 weeks ago and is constantly getting No Service on his phone for hours and then reception comes back for a little while.
There reply was that they have degraded some Base Stations and have engineers working on it, and in one location where he works in the East End of London they won't have them up and running properly for 3 months.
They offer no compensation and to be honest I will not sell another Three phone until this problem is resolved.
On thier coverage map on thier website they boast about thier coverage and upon entering the customers post codes of where he lives, where he works and where he spends a lot of time, it still shows Good coverage.
If other people who are on Three are having thee problems please post here your area and how long the No service has existed.
I will pass this onto the relevant department at Ofcom.
I think they have cut off base stations as they are going to integrate with tMobiles superior network shortly, but customers should NOT be affected in the way they are.
I do not sell a lot of Three so your input would be helpful.0 -

Even if their network is partially down, could the phone not roam onto either Orange or O2's 2G network?alnsv1000s wrote: »I am currently in conersqtion with Three in regard to a customer who got his phone 2 weeks ago and is constantly getting No Service on his phone for hours and then reception comes back for a little while.

I live just outside of Hull. For a few days in January I had no service, ostensibly due to a fault. When I reported it to them, I asked them if this meant that I would be getting money back for this month's bill since the phone was unusable - the advisor I spoke to agreed, but said I had to call back at the end of my bill cycle (on the 7th), so we'll see whether or not they actually uphold this. I did ask them to make a note on my records, but the last month I've had with 3 doesn't give me much hope."outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. inside of a dog, it's too dark to read" - Groucho Marx0
