Orange Sim Only Upgrade

Hi,

My contract (18 months long) expires in April and I'm considering opting for a sim only deal so that I can get a reduction in line rental cost (plus I don't need a new handset). At present I pay £35 per month for 500 anytime any network minutes and receive unlimited texts. In addition to these minutes and texts I also have 3 magic numbers set up on the account which give me free minutes at any time of the day to other Orange customers.

I'm wondering as to what my chances are of asking Orange to lower my line rental from £35/month to £18-20/month? Considering I am not asking for a new handset, am I'm willing to sign up for another 18 months and possibly put a cap on the text message allowance to say 500 rather than having unlimited texts I think this represents a fair deal.

Ideally I want to be paying £18-20/month and want to keep my magic numbers as I have built them up over the term of my contract.

What do you guys think? Is it possible or am I being greedy?

Orange do sim only deals at £25/month giving 600 anytime any network minutes. If they offer me this, its the same deal as a new customer and I'll lose my magic numbers.

sounds reasonable to me, id just ask for that out right for new 18 months no handset deal, what can you offer me discount-wise..... research what handset you can get free on the £35 plan as new customer...ie the most expensive for them to buy in
