Hi, I have recently bought a Beko 1000rpm Washing Machine (WMA510W).
Cost me £179.99 which included delivery and installation from a local appliance firm. It works fine for me, has a quick 30 Degree that takes 30 mins, thats fine for most of our clothes, not very dirty, then goes all the way up to a three hour wash for extremely dirty clothes, also does wool wash and high degree wash for bedding and towels. It looks simple and basic, which is what it is. But does the job its supposed to. This is my second Beko washing machine. I bought the second because i liked first so much.

I also have a slimline fridge freezer, have had it for 4 years with no problems. Also does what it says on the tin.

Don't really see the point in paying more for the name. But then maybe thats just me......

Hope this helps. Sorry if i've rambled on.

"Local appliance firm" - Local, but attached to the Nationwide Euronics Chain. Full 12 months warranty. Fantastic service and delivered within 2 days.

    i agree generally.
but id rather get one from the big boys ie asda BQ. i trust their warranty a bit more. ie they should still be in business for the next few yrs.

BQ had a washing machine at 169 quid last week. cant remember the name of it though.
    Get some gorm.

  • Might not be relevant for a kitchen but I bought a £200 beko 28" TV in 2000 that is still going strong. I think 8 years for something that price is pretty good.

There were rumours that factories making TVs/washing machines etc were making generic identical ones and just sticking different brand names on at the end, e.g Sony or Beko, not sure how true that is though.

I have a Beko WMA 641 W washing machine but I wouldn't get one again...it's the noisiest machine I've ever had (see my thread below on quiet washers)
Its quick wash takes over an hour...so not very quick and quick wash wont work on a 60 degrees wash

    apart from that...:)

Regards the quick wash - if it's an energy efficient w/machine they all take longer than the old autos used to. Makes no sense to me!!

When buying a new machine always ask about wash times, because these new ones are very confusing. We have had customers asking us to supply a particular machine because they like the look of it and they don't want to consider anything else. They then use it and ring up and say "it takes much longer than my old machine."

DH reckons Beko are great value for money - he has sold LOADS of their appliances over the years and people often ask him to get them one because their friends have been so pleased with theirs.
