Another offer started yesterday too - buy 5 Meal Deals in a month, get the 6th free (silly really starting it on 30 January as at the end of the month, any meals you have which haven't reached 5 get wiped out!). Didn't fancy going back to Boots at lunchtime and buying another 4 so I could get 1 free (I'm a bit of a pig but not that bad:rotfl: ).

This offer did start on wednesday but any you buy wednesday/thursday will be carried over into february.
  • Just had email confirming that most of the items I ordered this morning have been cancelled! All the best things, the good gift sets etc. Also I am now only getting the points on the actual sale cost rather than the initial order, but postage has been left as free.
Dont know if it is worth getting up early if items ordered will be cancelled.

I've just had an email telling me my ruby and millie vanity bag has been cancelled, but the other ruby and millie item along with the soap and glory item have been dispatched! Annoying, i was hoping to get that an all!
    Gotta love a bargain :j
  • At least we are getting some items I guess. The sale is bound to be coming to an end stock wise I guess.

I posted a message on the old board on tuesday about not being able to spend 6x £5 skincare vouchers on any item under £12.99, despite going to four stores.
I emailed Boots about this and have just had the following email from them

Thank you for contacting us about your skin care vouchers. I'm sorry to
hear that you have been unable to take advantage of this offer in your
local store and I hope I'll be able to help.

If you need to contact us again please quote reference number *******.

Sometimes a special offer is more successful than we can anticipate,
and customer demand outweighs the supply of the offer. We try to make it
clear in our shop displays that any offers we run are subject to
availability. However, we do understand that customers may be disappointed on
rare occasions if the offer is not available. Please accept my
apologies for any upset this may have caused you.

I have passed your comments onto our Sales Plan team, who will consider
them at their next review. This will help us to make things better in
    the future.

I appreciate that this has caused you disappointment and as an apology
I have added 1000 :D points to your Advantage Card. You can collect these
points at any time during the next 12 months from our Advantage Card
    machines in our larger stores.

Thank you again for contacting us. If you have any further questions
please contact us on the number below.

    Kind Regards

    Gemma Goff

So if anyone else was left dissapointed about being unable to spend their vouchers, it may be worthwhile contacting them.

Ive never seen one of these.. silly question..is it liquid foundation you put on with it?
    Foundation brush
You can put liquid or from a compact on with it.
I've had a make over from one of the premium counters a few times. They usually put a little foundation onto the back of their hand then use that to dip the brush in and apply it to your face. Its a lot less wasteful than using a sponge and it goes on a lot more even than using your fingers.

   I've just had most of my order cancelled too! Had managed to order the ELC easel (which I was pleased about although wary), R&M vanity bag and R&M make it up bag. I was also paying the postage on this order. The easel & vanity bag have both been cancelled, the R&M make it up bag is coming but I've now paid £2.95 postage on it (it was only £6ish)!

As mentioned earlier I'd made a 2nd order to get the vanity case and I added extra items to make it over £40 to get free postage (planning to send some of it back) and that is the ONE thing that has been cancelled from that order  !

I just had the same conversation with DH that it's not worthing getting up at 5am everyday when they cancel the majority of the order anyway!

Before the recent cancellations I'd sent a email to complain but I've only had an automated response back so far.

I've just posted this in the Hampers thread but realised it might suit this thread too so I'll c+p it here.

These kits don't seem to be selling that well as I keep seeing them all over the place, but I've just taken mine apart (grrrr at the packaging lol) and they're pretty good value at the moment... imo.

It contains two small individual puddings - expiry date April 2010, so will be ideal to use in Christmas Hampers, as a gift for a single person or couple.

There's also a miniature bottle of Three Barrels brandy - also good for the hampers. Or whatever .....lol.

The winner for me though is the flambe ladle. It comes with its own stand and is ideal for use in the kitchen next to the oven or slow cooker - even if it's just for skimming soups, stews etc. Plus it looks nice on its own ;) but would be good in any food-related hamper.

I'm even keeping the packaging to store those awkward Christmas bows etc, so for £1.20 (in the 90% off sale), they're not so bad after all

As a disclaimer, I should add that I've no idea what the puddings taste like. :D

    HTH someone. x

I got three for me and three for a friend of mine in the 75% sale, we thought they would make good pressies - mind you, I like Christmas pudding, so they might not last that long!!! I thought they were really good value then even at £3. Wouldn't have wanted to pay £12 though.:rotfl:
