I would have said that if every customer has to check every transaction, that not only would it cause major holdups around the nation, but that it would be a major indicator that Boots system is seriously flawed.

Could also throw in that maybe,

    a) Management needs restructuring
    b) Employ a new IT company to improve their website.
    c) Employ some of us MSE'rs as Mystery shoppers, to alert them to some of the nastier SA's.

And finally a cautionary note, not to issue vouchers if they dont want to honour them.:p

LOL!!:rotfl: Sound like fantastic options for them!
I might call up today to find out why the lady ("jo") was soooo rude!

on another note, does anyone know if whetstone boots has the dream lash mascara, the GWP and highlighters in?? might trek up there to use my £5 off voucher! TIA! :D

hi i have a 5 off £20 spend NO7 Voucher, illum voucher and £5 no7 voucher can i use all 3 in one go and in what order as i want to go to town today about one
    TIA if anyone can help

If the £5 off £20 is a Parenting Club voucher it will probably beep, but a nice SA will over ride it on the till for you if it appears that you've met the conditions, the other two seem to go through OK (in my experience anyway!) - don't forget your GWP and any applicable points vouchers, e.g. the ones out of the no7 Chrimbo gifts and anything from the ACM like the no7 mascara if that's what you're buying. You'd have to be very lucky to get a total spend one to work tho! Even if you put them through first and the till appears to accept it, it doesn't always mean you get the points (had my fingers burned a few times with those! Lost a 300 points one at the weekend as it seemed to go through, but no points on the receipt and no voucher returned.. )

    Good Luck!

    hi all,

got a delivery this morning and yesterday, i got the stretch homer (cant believe how heavy he is) a country living hamper - which is huge and comes with lots of goodies, today i got my pogo stick, ruby and millie ultimate collection (not worth £50.00 my opinion) and a bart simpson slingshot. a bit surprised this turned up this morning as it still says being processed on the boots site. not much this morning though - everything i tried to add was sold out - but i would not have ordered it anyway. did anyone else have the problem i had this morning when clicking on item the site said there was a problem but when i used internet explorer it was fine.

I finally managed to find one of the round P&P gift sets (only one in the shop though). I put it through with GWP no problems....then put through the £5 wys £20 voucher.....NO WAY JOSE!.....said the till and SA. So then put through the £5 pink voucher and then 250 pts on No. 7.

Still really chuffed with what I got for (technically) £12.50 (£15.00 to pay less 250 pts on card). And then got another £5 No 7 voucher.

Edit: couldn't use the high lights voucher because they don't sell that in my local Boots...but I did say the other day that the magazines were becoming an endangered species.....not anymore....literally 100s all round the shop..

Just been to Boots with voucher for illum powder, reduced no7 item and a few other bits. She put all through the till then scanned the voucher but didn't work, said its because the no7 item was reduced . Is this Correct?

...so, the test was to see whether the 250pts from the R&M Ultimate collection can be used with the R&M compacts reduced to 5.00.

Good news is there are some left in Kew Retail - about 10 lips and no eyes. None in Hammersmith or High St Ken.

Picked a nice young lad who was manning tills by himself. Asked him to try 2 compacts with the 250pts and also had a third compact in case I could have the "free R&M lip or eye compact when you buy any 2 R&M color cosmetics." He seemed happy enough to do until an old crow came over and started fussing about "not on reduced, not on reduced..." (abit like Raymond Babbit from Rainman.) Till beeped. OK, just bought anyway coz R&M is really nice. Got new voucher.

Then saw the clearance nearby - nail polishes, eye shadow, lipsticks, foundation, loose powders, body shimmers by Natural Collection, Rimmel and No17, all 50p to 1.50. Took 4 No17 Karen Walker limited edition make-up compacts to the till. They were 1.50 each so thought I'd try the GWP and the 100 AC when you spend over 5.00. Unfortunately for me Raymond Babbit was still there, so no.

Still think worth a try, just not Kew.

    Anyway:

New P&P Gift pack not at Kew, Hammersmith, Richmond, High St Ken yet.
No7 wipes and illum powders at Hammersmith and High St Ken.
    Illum powders only at Richmond
R&M compacts reduced to 5.00 at Kew.

Really fed up! Went to Morfa Mr Bs and found a green Sanctuary spa set for £6 on the reduced rack but SA claimed that the £3 GWP voucher could not be used with it, neither could the set count towards a new GWP and anyway the £7 travel kit was a minature so that would not count at all.... then she expected me to buy them all at full price (£6 + £7 + £10= £23!!!)
Apparently the reduction = "any other offer".
Too tired to ask for the manager so left them all behind.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • More No. 7 vouchers for sale on Ebay. I have bought some of these and used them with no problems.

I was able to use illum voucher against a reduced (50p) tan towel yesterday with no problem. I thinks it depends on SA and, according to other posts, it's been a bit hit and miss. I was expecting it not to work TBH.

Just back from Physio..............why does she seem to want to kill me?
That cross trainer thing will be the end of me!

I'd much rather be in Boots:rotfl:

So to aid my recovery I popped into Boots on the way home, for a free pack of olbas tissues for my snotty nose (choked with a stinky cold!)
I hoped to get them with a ACM voucher I found yesterday............but none to be found!

So I "had to get" a No7 Hydro quench pore reducing serum,a illuminating powder and GWP:rotfl:
Also a Q10 day cream ,£6.79 but still good with 400pts back

    Used £5 No7 voucher
A 250 pts on No7 skincare (from yesterdays GWP)
    and free Illuminating powder voucher

SA said "Oh you can't have the GWP with that lot as its less than £20 with the voucher"
I said "oh dear, thats funny it worked yesterday"
She said " oh just this once then!"

    So I spent £13.29 and got 650 pts back:j
And another voucher, though SA had to be reminded about that!!!
    :j I love bargains:j
    I love MSE
