I have had to slap my hand for the past weeks to stop reaching for the mouse to post this message. But I have decided to go ahead and post as I feel it is necessary..

There appears to be a growing trend to 'knock' people who sell on ebay. Even posting links to individual items and criticizing sellers.
I would love loads of the things on ebay, but that's a fact of life. We cant always have what we want.

I understand need, and need in many cases is why people sell on ebay.

Maybe the nice person you have met on the Boots site is one of these sellers and is too embarrassed to say.I feel really uncomfortable with this naming and shaming.

There are loads of people on Martins site who are also sellers. Please don't knock them, because you could not get your item in the sale. Please don't make examples of them as if they are criminals. It is morally wrong. to post the links. Look at them but don't share them. We all know where ebay is, and how to search.

People sell on ebay for all kinds of reasons. Me? I sell because my mortgage was mis-sold and I stand to lose my home, , so I want to pay off my mortgage.

I am bound to upset someone, but please live and let live, and do not judge people who are selling, when you know nothing about them or their circumstances. There are buyers in this world and there are sellers. There are also buyers & Sellers. One group should not judge another.

I know this is off topic but is very much Boots related. I would hate to see this lovely thread turn into a "Lets hate people who sell on ebay thread."

Please think again before you point the finger at others, and judging people, as you dont know the full picture.. I have been as diplomatic as possible, but I hope in general people will see that what I am saying is fair.

To be fair they need to limit items per customer and use boots card to make sure people dont come back for more and more, we all have hard luck stories but fairs fair.
Just hope all ebay people are paying the tax on what they earn from selling on ebay (talking about the people who do it as a business)..

I've just tried to do an online shop and although it says that you receive 200 pts for toiletry essentials and baby essentials.....nothing is showing that it gives this and the drop down box that allows you to filter the offers doesn't have it anymore....but the big flash across the top of the toiletries bit and the baby bit stating the offer is still on is there. I put the stuff in the basket and no points added:confused:

Oh well....will have to stock up in store when DH can go along with me.

sorry, can't help with this one. I never shop on dot.com...and never will after reading about everyones cancelled orders- awful customer service:mad:

As the title says, I'm not very happy. Just been to Boots to buy a concealer (the No7 one which is bit like the YSL one!!!) This cost £12.00 and I picked the highlighter up as well. It came to a total of £22.25 and then £10.25 was deducted for the free highlighter. The SA said that I could not have the GWP as I had only spent £12.00!!! Is that correct. Reading other posts I feel that I have been ripped off as other people got the gift!!! Is there anything I can do???????

Never, ever pay at No7 counter. In my experience nice No7 SA's are a rare breed

    Thankyou:T

If I am lucky enough to find the reduced mascara tomorrow, my plan is this:

    2 x mascara - 3 4 2 on 17 - so 1 free

1 eye shadow - free with mascara

    GWP

    Total to pay =91P :D

Remember the Gwp is on a spend of £5 so with this combo you are 18p short if the eyeshadow is included as £2.99.
  • Just read my emails to see that my order on .com for the above has been cancelled. Really annoyed as I only wanted 1 and when I put my order through Monday there were 58 in stock!!!!
Didn't particulary want the contents just the bag - if anyone has a bag they don't want let me know! Please x

When does the mascara eyeshadow offer close all the signs were down today in my store after I'd steeled myself to try the mascara eyeshadow combo to get the gwp. Really stumped yesterday tried to achieve the mascara ,free eyeshadow and free wipes with the Acm coupon thought the minimum spend would be met as all three items would be included but the till said no. Thought the £1 off £5 spend from the xmas gifts and the 100 points from mag would work too but ended up with nothing.
Good luck with your combo .
