Hi all.
Just been placed on it, not sure how long for.
I got a payment of 70 odd pound last week, and im not sure when my next payment would be.
Is it paid weekly or fortnightly? I was on Income Support before and got £89 a fortnight, someone told be IB is paid weekly and u get about £79 a week.
Im also paying a loan back.
Confused. Is IB weekly or fortnightly? Im 23 btw with sever anxiety.

Its awful.
Im at college and got into wolverhampton university next year. College is tough at times, i can do it, at a struggle. But i know i have to go college so i can get my software engineering degree.
Computers is the only real job i feel i can do that will enable me to work. The anxiety and dep. will live with me the rest of my life, but i eventually want to be able to work and feel 'safe'....ish.
Thanks anyway.0 -
I understand what your saying.
I bearly leave the house at the moment, but I am working on it.
There will be a time when we will feel safe and able to face things. I am assured it just takes time....

Good luck at Wolverhampton University.
It's my home town and I went there when it was Wolves Poly!
Back on-topic, my husband's IB is paid every 28 days, but I'm sure at one time it was fortnightly.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

People can have the choice to be paid every 2 weeks, every 4 weeks or even every 13 weeks.0 -
His changed when we notified them of a change of bank account, he had a letter which said it would now be every four weeks.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Slightly off topic - are you getting help from a community nure or consultant psychiatrist?
I've been suffering for over 4yrs now and only recently started to feel better when I came OFF all the medication I was on. I'll admit it was a serious struggle at first but gradually I'm feeling slightly better, although I still don't sleep! Got my next appointment with a consultant psychiatrist on 6th March (yeah! and that's an emergency appointment!).
Just remember you're not alone - I'm 28 and have suffered on and off since my teens with the recent bout lasting over 4 years, it does get better with the right help.Treat others as you would like to be treated :A0 -

My husband is receiving long term IB and receives £179.80 fortnightly, but I'm not sure how this is made up. The age addition is for under 45's according to the direct gov web site, which he was when he received it but it doesn't say how much it is.Does this vary depending on your actual age?
