How do I retain AOL addresses and move providers

Like the others have said, you can keep your AOL screenname and access your mail through the AOL home page.

I'm with Sky but can still receive and send email from my AOL address even though the broadband account was cancelled early last year (I don't use my AOL addy anymore, but I know if I want to, I can)

I have just been onto AOL live help and asked about keeping the email address. Below is a copy of the transcript which basically confirms you can keep the email addresses.

20:25:26YouThanks that is very helpful. The only reason I am asking is that since the change to the CPW servers last week I have had a lot of connectiion drops and so have a lot of other people I know. Is this going to get any better in which case I will not need to leave AOL?
20:27:16Vishal KumarDue to maintenance being carried out at the moment on the servers, a small percentage of members are having some temporary issues. This maintenance is necessary in order to improve the system further. We are also awaiting more specific details on it. I am sure it should be resolved shortly as technicians are working on it. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to you thus far and request you to kindly bear with us.
