if it's actually his car then what you've been doing for the last 4 years is 'fronting' and is illegal.
I am assured by several people who have checked with direct line that they DO offer a product along these lines which is not fraudulent.because only the policy holder earns no claims bonus im afraid
I have seen companies offer discount to people that have no claims as a named driver.
I could be wrong but I thought quinn direct was one of them.
I am certain I have seen it on a screen where it say "was your no claims as main driver or named driver".0 -

It is not his car, it belongs to my husband but son is the main driver and is declared as such so nothing illegal as far as I am concerned.0
