  • I still use Twinings green tea but have changed from the Jasmine to the Earl Grey, they are really nice, because I only just show them to the hot water I get lots of use out of one teabag, OH and I make one bag last for 6 mugs (keeping it in the fridge between outings), that's about one mornings worth!

cold green tea makes a great marinade for duck too, and is good served with a noodle salad with lots of fresh chilli

  • I use green tea for making a face toner:

    200ml / 1 cup mineral water
    4 tsp green tea leaves
    1 tsp mint leaves

Boil the mineral water and add the leaves, let mixture stand for 10 mins, strain and let it cool. Pour into a sterilized bottle. I keep mine in the fridge and it makes a nice cooling face freshener, good for dry sensitive skin as its gentle. I'm sure you could make it with tea bags as well.
