Thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying, but they are not saying it was formerly an MBNA account, they are saying that they were formerly MBNA0

I've just received an email from this company, As far as I know, I don't owe money to anyone. Should I just ignore it?
It's titled as 'Urgent' and the body of the message is this (with my name and ref number deleted):

Hey,
I would give them a call, just be careful not to give them your address, phone number etc when you do as they will pester you heavily if you do. Im assuming your email address is all they have to go on as they wouldn't usual email? I'd just try to establish what you're "supposed" to owe. If you check my comment a few posts up you'll see I was actually defaulted by Hillesden for a debt I never had which screwed my credit up a lot. I'd never even heard of them and had no agreement etc with them, yet I was defaulted for over £3,000
Hope this helps? Be interested to hear how you get on

Hi just after a bit of advice.
I was checking my credit report today and found that Hillesden Securities have linked me to an address in March 2011.
Firstly I have no idea what they want but what I am most worried about is I have lived at my current address for almost 30 years and have no idea what this linked address is about.
How can I get them to remove this address off my file? Should I call them or write to them?0 -
I get daily phonecalls from dlc and i just ignore them. I make a payment to them monthly so it's just pure harrassement! I also got a letter the other day asking me to call them about another debt but they've not said at all on the letter who the debt is from. I'm just away to send them a prove it letter.I swear to be debt free by December 2014Welcome (£4084), TSB (£351), RBS (£1660), [STRIKE]Barclay (£362), [/STRIKE]Vanquis (£542), BCT (£1556), [STRIKE]Council Tax (£675)[/STRIKE]0

So they're saying that they got a county court judgement on this joint debt and that they are now going to apply for a warrant of execution (WoE) on it. Is that right?
A warrant of execution appoints the court bailiff to attend to see if he (or she) can access any goods that could be sold.
At this point the whole thing could be just a threat but I would recommend that you check that there is a ccj, and find out when it was awarded. They should have quoted the court reference. Phone Northampton Court. If it's not their reference they should be able to tell you whose it is.
If you do get a WoE from a court then you can suspend it, and change (vary) the ccj to an instalment order.
Factsheet | Reducing payments or suspending a bailiff's warrant on a county court judgment
If the ccj was obtained more than 6 years ago they may struggle to get a WoE as the courts expect ccjs normally to be enforced within 6 years.0 -
I have been paying but behind as struggling with my money now working at two jobs trying to keep up with my finances,
Blackhorse agreed to let me pay £100 for a 3 months to clear some other bills, they made out that they were helping me
then when I called them after the three months and asked for a few more months the guy on the phone said if you are struggling we are not allowed to put you into a difficult position (words to that effect)
then told me my account had been transferred to hillsden
