contract with vodafone
in july my ex left me and took my mobile phone with him with a contract simcard in it.
i was informed by the police to let him keep on using this so that they could locate him.
afterwards they arranged with vodafone for my contract to be cancelled as long as i payed what was owing on the account and i would have no cancellation charges.
i have now received a bill for over £200 as they have cancelled the account because i wasnt paying for it (as i was told it would be cancelled)
i tried to call vodafone and discuss it with them and got some woman shouting at me saying that no one would have said that to me as they dont do that at vodafone!
anyone know what i can do, as i never kept the names of the people who said this as i didnt receive any bills i thought it was sorted!!

put it all in a letter of complaint to head office with details of all the people you spoke toYes Your Dukeiness0

like i said above, i never kept the names because i thought that it was the end of it0

oh, then you need to make a request under the data protection act to see all the notes they have about your account on the system then go from there, probably still worth going to head office even with whatever details you have you can always recontact them with further evidenceYes Your Dukeiness0

My advice would be to contact Vodafone again. Use the Contact Us form on their website if you don't want to discuss on the phone. Explain everything that's happened and see what they say0 -
If you have a Vodafone store near you, go in there and get them to escalate it for you. Normally, you have a lot more chance when you're in store to get it sorted because you're actually talking to a real person.March Wins

Hi Vikki,
I'd like to help you get this resolved, to do this I’ll need access to your Vodafone account. If you'd like me to have a look at your account please email me using the Vodafone online contact us form here. Please answer all the questions it asks for so that I can access your account without needing to ask for more information. If you include the code FIT135 in the body of the email it will direct it through to my team.
I look forward to hearing from you so we can get this resolved.
Thanks,
Hopefully Useful
