Most makes of router are up and running within five minutes if you follow the simple instructions in the user manual. The fact that you had problems with a D Link, does not mean that they are no good!

show me where i said D-LINK were no good...

Which you would find in the user manual.

And usually even printed on the router itself as well.

You're welcome to try and look for them  My brother, my mum and myself all checked through trying to find even a hint on what to do and there was nothing! Even my brother who works with computers for a living [as part of his own business] couldn't find it in the manual when we asked him to look and he'd definatley find something we ended up missing.

.............when all we wanted was the settings to get our wireless working after it reset itself.

Details of how to configure the wireless encryption will be in the user manual but the actual encryption key is up to you and not 3Com!

Download the user manual from their support website here and get a random passphrase from here.
