I hold my hands up in acknowledged guilt for this, but I'm getting lots of stupid spam text messages on my mobile
It's obviously because I've signed up for some Free SMS services on the internet.
I guess it shows that nothing is really free, because I'm paying the price by having lots of 'you could win blah' texts, which I have to send a message back to unsubscribe from.
I wonder, is there any way of finding out which companies have me on their list? I'm worried that I might be being charged subscription fees without even knowing it. Some of these companies don't even accept the STOP message, which costs me money to blimmin' send.
I'm guessing that because I have willingly entered my mobile phone number on these websites to benefit from free SMS that I can't now stop these texts with a telephone preference service.
Doh!
