O2 Simplicity tariffs changing from 1 Feb: and D750i unlock?
Options
I called O2 about joining Simplicity for OH and myself, but OH is still stuck with T Mobile (and their locked D750i) for 30 days from today. O2 guy said on the phone that their Simplicity tariffs are completely changing from 1 Feb. We are interested in the £15 one and he hinted that we shouldn't wait, but couldn't give out any more info. However this means overlapping tariffs for a month
Does anyone from O2 have any information that you can share? We are only thinking of the Simplicity £15 one as it has 200 mins and unlimited O2 to O2 calls - and most of our longer calls are to each other anyhow.
And can anyone 100% confirm that the D750i can be unlocked at a mobile shop? I remember someone (Gaming Guy? SE expert) saying my K750i could only be code unlocked, but that was more than a year ago.
thanks for any help guys.

a d750i is a straight forward unlock by cable,

No-one on here from O2? I really want to know what's happening with the £15 Simplicity tariff as we save £20 if OH only changes in mid to late Feb ie no paying 2 different operators for the same month.0

seriously you are worrying about a short term thing. If you want to be on Simplicity for the long term you will be making a large saving jumping now on a better tariff.
Sounds like the tariff is going to become less value for money. Jump now.0 -

Totally agree with this - sign up NOW! (and go through quidco for £20 odd cashback). The T&C are only 30 days notice so you can change off it if it turns out it doesn't suit you in the longer term.

They wouldn't allow my OH and I to both join because we have a joint bank account, so I will be staying PAYG and he will have to look elsewhere. They processed my order so I will be as mad as hell if they haven't cancelled it. The sales person didn't tell me this up front (I said it's for us both, joint a/c) so they don't know about it. CS confirmed - on an 0870 no! - that this 'credit check refusal for joint bank account holders' is deep within their T &Cs. I'm happy to stay with Tesco whose CS is excellent but not sure what OH is going to do now. He has quit T Mobile because they offered him nada to keep him and the reception around here is lousy, plus he only wants a £15 tariff (no cash back, he hasn't got time to sort that out). I'm well p'd off.0
