No £10 refund from THE LINK

I mailed in my old phone in a pre-addressed envelope to a subsidiary (?) of The Link in order to get the £10 refund.
They asked for the sales invoice to validate the transaction, which I sent them. (I don't think I kept a copy). This was over 5 weeks ago.
What should I do now?

    I would give them a call.

    I did this some time ago and seem to remember that I went over the 28 day limit by a couple of days.

    It took so long for the cheque to come through that I scratched my head when it appeared and then remembered.

    How did you post it? I shouldn't worry about not having the invoice just call them they should have it on record with your address.

  • They're either very slow or there has been a mix-up.

    I mailed in handsets on 2 previous occasions, and got cheques back. Can't remember how long it took for them to turn up but it didn't seem to be that long.
