Tilemeister,

I would ask you to remember Martin's words....'Please be nice to other moneysavers'.

If you have a problem with another poster or their posts, either send them a private message or feel free to contact abuse@moneysavingexpert.com where any complaint you have will be dealt with.

Now, can we get back to floor and wall tiling...

Nah nah nah nah nah Poppy got a row. :rotfl:

Useful query though...I need to know the same thing for my bathroom. Didn't expect prices like that though. (I'm not saying it's obscene or anything....I just had no idea what a rough idea was...if you know what I mean.)

Thanks T.....my bathroom is small, 2 mtrs x (just under) 2mtrs with one window.

The walls are 8 foot high. Usual bathroom suite..bath/basin/toilet.

I'd like the whole lot (not floor) tiled in just ordiinary plain white tiles.

Silly question first :o .......does it make a difference to the cost whether the tiles are small or large? (Working on the basis that larger tiles means there are less to put on.)

Rough idea of cost of job please, if I supplied tiles/adhesive/grout etc? (I'm assuming it would be cheaper if I supplied these myself?)

Hi
you will need approx 16 m2 of tiles
you are right larger are better most people prefer 250mm x 200mm tiles these days.
most tilers can supply tiles cheaper than you pay( I get bumpy whites for about £10m2 good quality not thin seconds)
I always supply my own materials as I get them trade eg edge trim you will pay £5 + a length I pay £2 .Its the same for ad/grout
as for price about £350 including adhesive grout trim silicon labour (not tiles)
as a good guide
Cheers Steve

Advice much appreciated Steve, thank you. :) I'll look to getting someone to supply the materials as well now I think.

Thanks for all the advice. I used the £35 per sq metre guy. He did a good job. Shame MFI's kitchen was not up to the same standard.
