Someone's stalking me via photobucket!!

Hiya Guys,

I'm selling something on ebay at the minute and uploaded the photos to photobucket and linked them to ebay. I have other photos in my photobucket account that aren't related to ebay. Tonight somebody has emailed me to ask a question about one of the other photos in my account! I have no idea how they've managed this, as I thought photobucket was secure and nobody could see my photos without me letting them.

I've taken all the photos off anyway, but does anybody know he has managed to access my account? It's quite scary really and is there anything else I can be doing to protect my computer?

Thanks in advance!

Don't you have to make your albums private if you don't want anyone else to see them?

It's quite easy to view someones picture or images on a website if you know how to, and if the webserver allows people to (most don't).

You have nothing to worry about regarding your computer - no one has been accessing that.

I didn't know I had to make it private, I thought it was done automatically. Thanks for the info - it was a bit freaky him asking me a question about something I thought was private out of the blue!

There are actually sites out there with "photobucket hunters", who proactively try to uncover pictures of girls (and boys) on photobucket.

    Nothing is safe.

If someone looking at your photos through ebay can see them then it makes it open to everyone - do a search of google images check if they've indexed your photos, they probable are

If you want it kept private, don't put it on the internet

Yes, it may make it open to everyone, doesn't mean that everyone is wanting or trying to see them though.

Elaborate the last sentence of your post?

I take it all the person done was right-click on the photo, checked properties and then copied, pasted the link and removed the picture name to bring up the album.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
