Anyone in London

  • As an ex-Londoner I am very glad to be here in Taunton today. However, one of my very good friends, also from Taunton, is stuck in the middle of it all today - first time she has been allowed out of the office to attend a meteing in months! She was going to tavistock Square, where our office is, and has been sent back to paddington. I believe she is now in Reading but the train wont move because of news of explosions n Brighton and Swindon, but I havent heard confirmed reports of these anywhere. Everyone I know in London is currently okay at the moment. Sending loads of prayers for everyone else and the wonderful people who work for our emergency servcies and Police

They said on Radio 2 a while ago that 10 people are confirmed dead ... how awful - I truly do not understand what makes people want to do this to innocent human beings.

I'm thinking of all the people stuck in London with no way of getting out - how frightening it must be to know that you can't go anywhere, you've got to stay there with no means of transport out, and no guarantee that there won't be any further explosions.

My Mum was on her way in to Harley Street this morning, fortunately late enough to not be able to get in - I believe her train was turned back before it got to Liverpool Street. Both my brothers and my sister-in-law are at work, but are safe.

    Hey There

My dd (10) was due to go into london on a school trip this morning at 8.30am. Anyway some parents were late and they missed 2 trains then the one they were going to get was cancelled due to all this (told it was a fault on the line!) Hubby had to go and pick her up from station and take back to school-so she werent happy-thought she was getting a day off

They were going to Aldgate East  I am shaking still but am so glad my baby is safe! She's never going on another bloody school trip...ever!!!!

My prayers & thoughts go out to everyone who has been effected by these terrible cowardly acts, especially those hurt or killed.

My best mate works central london and I cant get hold of him, so will keep fingers and toes crossed & keep trying. We live about 5 miles away from all this and everything has stopped here too.

    Love to all

My husband was called in this morning all he could say was there had been a major incident and he might be late home! As Kipsy says he and his colleagues have been training for this for a long time but obviously hoped the training would never be needed.

My daughter was meant to be graduating in London tomorrow and some of her friends are graduating today, she is having a harrowing time trying to contact them, one of them is stuck on a train but ok. Thank goodness she wasn't caught up in this or my son. He works in London but is on holiday this week. He is spending today at an ex-pats house watching the news with disbelief like the rest of us. He too is keeping his fingers crossed regarding his mates. My heart goes out to all those with family and friends caught up in this.

I was on the tube network at 9 this morning but thankfully nowhere near the blasts. We were evacuated and it took me hours to get into work (I had to get in due to the job I do) but all's well. I was expecting chaos at work but we're actually all sitting here twiddling our thumbs waiting for the bosses to decide which set of emergency plans need to be set in motion. So, some time to read MSE!!!

sure your husband will be safe but it can't be nice to be waiting for him to come home "sometime". Hope he's safely home before bed time and you can end the day together.
