You have to register your Virgin sim to get another £2 credit, as it actually costs £5.50 to get a Splash Card - ie one SMS sent at 50p, then you receive a reverse-charged premium SMS from Splash to pay for the card (£5). ;)

Cool, does anyone have a link to where you register the sim cards? I cannot find it.

  • May I just ask if I can apply for one of these cards using my free virgin credit and have the card in someone elses name. I want to do it for the £10 cashback but my oh actually wants one of these cards. Thankyou.

Yes you can, I've done it three times!:D Just remember to pick a funny name and you can have a laugh with your mates :D (mcloving is a winner these days)

By the way, I got 4 virgin sims (4!!) the day before I moved back to France and I took them with me... after all, they are worth 20 quid!!

Is there any way of getting that money now? I don't think I can txt to a UK number to do the jamster/splash trick. Any ideas?

    Cheers!

I firstly sent SPLASH to the 60999 number, and then attempted to fill in my details for the Splash Plastic card but it is requiring a "Pay by SMS voucher" code.

Will I receive the code back via SMS in the next 24 hours or so? I used one of my virgin £5 sim cards which had £7 on it due to registering it online.

    Thanks!

You should have received the voucher code instantly by return text. I'd give it 24 hours and then contact them if you've still not received anything.

Mine validated about a week ago and is now showing as received. I was a bit worried I wouldn't get it as I'm sure I activated it more than 30 days after applying.

Have you used the card since you activated it?
I'm just wondering if there's an (unwritten) condition that you must load some money onto the card in order to qualify for cashback.
Can anybody else confirm whether they've had their cashback validated / paid just for activating the card (and not actually using it).
