Ok put your fingers in your ears because I am going to RANT! Children's shoes! DS needed a new pair after weeing in his and believe me I couldn't get the smell out. Anyway, afterschool I go to buy him another pair. His last pair were a 1E and he now measures a 2 and a half E so ok he did need them. In three shops I am told he is too narrow for them to stock shoes for him. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Last month I couldn't get any for DD as she's a D fitting but pleeeeaaaasseeeeeee an E isn't that narrow. There was another women in there being told her son was a G and his feet were too wide. So, unless you are an F fitting you can't have school shoes. I tell you, they are so annoying. In the end I told the assistant in John Lewis (who was the first helpful assistant i'd seen) that he needed to find a pair of shoes for my son. He suggested getting lace ups as you can pull them tighter. We tried on 8 pairs of shoes and the last ones fitted. I wonder if they don't like selling shoes to children like mine as they have to work for the small fortune that I pay for the shoes!
Ok, you can take the fingers out of your ears and I can start breathing again. Is it too early for a glass of wine! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!0 -
Helloooooooooooooo. Back now and don't have to go out again.
DS3 did great at his swimming tonight even though he was yawning his head off on the way there. I did notice a rash all over his chest/back when he got out of the pool - he has never had a reaction to the water before so am wondering what it is - he seems fine, still time will tell.
Hugs to those of you who still have little ones - I remeber just how hard work it was especially when breastfeeding and potty training. Please try to enjoy it - I know it is hard but in no time they will be at school all day and that time will be gone.
Going to quickly tidy up from the various meals I have created - boiled egg and soliders/spag bol/beans on toast/leek and pot soup. Hope that has made some of you feel better. I really don't mind, it is easy to get them all on the go together (spag bol and soup frozen previously). Most days we do all have the same but swimming they eat at different times and one doesn't like eggs (neither do I) and only one likes spag bol so it means they all get more variety. With most things in life if you are happy doing it then don't worry what other say or think but if you are not happy change it until you are.
Be back later once I have kids in bed.
DS3 moved up a reading level today too so he is very pleased with his little self.
Finally I need to get a simpsons cake for his party anybody seen one recently - it is only for his little friends to sing and a bit for their bags. I'll make a scrummy one for us to consume on the day.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Right all is smelling much sweeter as me and littles bathed and my hair washed:D . Littles got pjs on and will be off to bed in a mo. DD1 having a go on guitar legends on PS3 (she is scarily good!). That will get switched off in a min and will do her poetry book she brought from school. Then it will be clean peggies and into beddies:D . DD2 to pick the night time stories but hoping they will be asleep half way through the first;) .
Kitchen all S & S and sparkly (until I make the bread rolls later:o ), dough in BM, ironing board out ready for my HHI, may watch hollyoaks whilst I do it. Very sad I know but its the only soap type thing I watch - now thats one calendar I would not have minded getting for xmas, calvin the copper half naked.........hmmmmmm!
Right must get a grip blame you lot chatting about "bond" and van diesel.
Story time here I come:D0 -
Shell - do you think that an adult who can play the guitar would like the rock legends things for the playstation or do you think it's more for kids? Thinking of maybe getting it as an extra for DHs birthday xx0
