I am having another go at this as it has really been helping at getting things slowly under control. My mum was even able to pop in sat morning without us having to run round clearing up.
Main tasks at school besides teaching:
Sort out cover work for colleague
Begin setting up better filing system in my office
At home:
Cook tea
Wash up
Dry up
Surfaces and shine sink
One load of washing
Tumble stuff on airer
Prepare lunch for Tues
PLUS:
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/Area
Level One
Clean floors in these areas
Level Two
Wipe down surfaces
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, firdge, freezer etc) and inside the microwave
Level Three
Clean washer drawer, filters on the dryer, dishwasher and cooker hood filters
Clean the oven if you missed it last week or it needs it
Extra tasks if you want to do more- Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
- Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps, a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
- Empty one shelf (or the top of a cupboard) clean it, clean what's on it and put it all back
- Clean out and organize one cupboard, more if you like
- Wipe & replace small appliances likekettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
Awwww maralum she is so lovely, thank you for making my morning so much brighter sharing your little treasure with us.
Speaking of brighter, there is a few grey clouds looming but other than that it's quite bright here, does that mean I might get some laundry dry outsideI hope so, it''s a bit chilly but nice and bright. Makes you feel so much better when the sun is out. One thing I must do is keep on top of the garden clearing (2 dogs) etc so will be joining with the 5 minutes a day. I'm also trying to decide what to grow in my planters, I have loads which I just tipped out when we moved (used the compost to fill the pond in) I was going to look for some 'short' carrots, and erm, something else.
Today the kitchen is tidy but does need a good clean, cupboard doors are manky and think I will do those inside aswell. Some of my oven racks need a darn good clean, as it's nice I will do them outside (because I don't like putting them in the jacuzzi bathtoo expensive if I break something) Dining room is another matter, that's a tip, 'stuff' cluttering the table which all needs sorting through. Oh and no wet beds last night, both PJ pants were wet but not the sheets
so the washing machine can have a day off!
I'm still aiming for having a lot sorted by the 2nd ready for when our first course starts, only a few days, I am not even opening the one pack which has arrived until then because I will only panic and not get the house sorted. I am doubtful I will get everything I want to done, but will be trying my best so we can allocate enough study time (we're probably going to need 30 hours plus a week) to complete the course successfully. Dining room is a must as that table will be doubling as a study table.
Right, coffee, breakfast, kick DP out of bed then get cracking so here goes my list for today
Level 3 kitchen
[strike] Clean down the tiles and the tap I hate [/strike]
Clean small appliances (must do breadmaker as child splashed it when mixing dougnut stuff)
Sort through the junk in the dining room
[strike] Clean glass double doors in dining room (eww I've had the curtains shut nearly all winter)
Sort through one unpacking box
Find more things to fling in DS1s room
Go to tip with recycling and rubbish
Vacuum through downstairs
Think of something for dinner (asap)[/strike] and cook it
[strike] S&S bathroom
15 minutes in the garden tidying from the winds and todays mess clearing
Pack ebay stuff, post it, post letters too
10 minutes paperwork and bills sorting [/strike]
[strike]Groom Megan [/strike]- another Dyson box full of hair! She's going to end up bald at this rate
Night time stuff like pack ups for tomorrow, bath time, clothes out etcOne day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Morning all
Back from the land of grot here. DD1 was recovered by Saturday. I came down with the grot of Friday afternoon and got steadily worse, DD2 still not right but had no temperature flashes last night so hopefully on the mend.
I need to S & S the whole house today but think I shall leave level 3s till next week as hugely lacking in energy, despite going back to bed for 4 hours on Saturday and an hour yesterday.
I have a driving lesson later which I shall have to take DD2 with me, have spoken to my instructor and she said its fine (lets hope DD is good). Keeping little of nursery today as she runs out of energy come 11.30 and she is not booked in till this pm. They both have ballet tonight but will see what she is like later (am hoping she will have a sleep during my driving lesson).
So I need to:-
S & S Kitchen (including floors sweep & mop)
S & S lounge
S & S bathroom
Hoover through
Decide what to have for tea
Put ironing away
Get WM on
Get BM on
Beds already aired and made. That is gonna be it for today as still feeling grotty, off to pop some more tablets and wash them down with a cuppa.
Maralum - those pics are georgous, she is such a sweetie:D0 -
Just want to say I Hate slugs. I hate them when they are stripey and green and brown. I hate them when I find one on my worktop at 5.30am when DD has been up for half an hour. I hate them when I can't see where they are coming in, and the trail doesn't lead anywhere. I hate them when it's the first thing I find when I want to have a lovely week of flying and domesticity!
Right... back to the kitchen to start my list!!!0 -
quick check in while i have a cuppa (after all, can't go like the clappers all morning can i
)
Beautiful piccies of Freya. She is getting so big. Pigpen - i'll not say charlie was around the 25 pound mark by a year, but then again he is really tall - nearly the same height as my nephew who is a year older than him, plus, he is not a daft lad, and never says no to anything, and from an early age if he has seen anyone eating something he fancied, he has a skill of making them offer him some - most embarassing when i took him to work for the end of term bash and he was stealing off plates of people he didn't know. Plus, don't forget, most of yours were tiddly to start with, so if we looked at total weight gain over a year it would probably be similar.
Anyway, best say what i have done as the cuppa is half gone:- all charlie's toys - bits found and properly away
- last nights washing up put away off the drainer
- charlie sent to nursery with a pack of nappies and a cheque
- work emailed in to school for my classes today
- put washing away off one of the airers
- while sorting charlie's room out, discovered yet more mould down the side of the cupboard we use as his wardrobe, so got DH to pull that out to let it dry a bit before cleaning it up
- all upstairs windows flung wide open to let an air circulation through to deal with drying out the mould a bit
- dining table cleaned thoroughly, dettol and everything as it stunk of fish from the pie charlie ate on saturday even though i couldn't see any
- placemats wiped
- chair charlie sits on wiped
- WM on with towels, which as it is lovely today, should dry on the line
- washed my hair
- had a bath, done my legs and got some moisturiser on
- emptied bathroom bin
plan is, alternating 15 mins of flying with 15 mins of school work i think, see how i go:- [strike]put away ironing done the other night in charlie's cupboard[/strike]
- sort 8B and 9LI schemes
- mark y8 books (7/25 already done)
- mark y10 books
- [STRIKE]mark y9 books - 4 out of 9 i have at home are done[/STRIKE]
- plan lessons for next few days
- [strike]towels out on line[/strike]
- [strike]WM on again with [/strike] [strike]DHs stuff that will dry well on line[/strike][strike]now another load of DH's stuff, but i think it might be a bit too still out there to dry it, oh well, TD lateranother lot of charlie's darks[/strike]
- [strike]that load out on line[/strike]
- take charlie's chair from his room apart so the covers can be washed and then dried on radiator airers tonight
- [strike]peel veg for tonights dinner[/strike]
- [STRIKE]wash up breakie and lunch dishes (plus SC pot from last night that is soaking)[/STRIKE]
- run a hoover around the whole house
- [strike]let cats in and feed them[/strike]
- [STRIKE]bring washing in and put line away[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]hang any damp washing on airers[/STRIKE]
- pick charlie up from nursery
- get DH to wipe mould up tonight in charlie's room
- tackle any ironing created [strike]by emptying airers[/strike] - keep the pile clear while only a few items 7 items - bring it on
- pack away stuff in my old wardrobe i won't wear till after the room is sorted
- all airers emptied
- charity shop bag started with 4 items
- found some plant pots in garden i can take in for my lesson tomorrow
- put cardboard/glass/paper recycling out
- picked up some newspaper in the garden that was blowing around
- pulled the cot over to the other side of room to aid ventilation
- sorted through y11 coursework, found markscheme, now have a list of kids who still need to sit the exam this week, and then i can get the !!!!!!s marked and sorted
- cleaned mould off three laminated piccies from uni days that were down the side of the cupboard in charlies room
- found out yet another unmarked y9 homework sheet - gonna mark that now before dinner
- booked cattery dates for 2x weekends away, and summer hols in august - so early i have been offered the luxury outdoor chalets (must be being very organised as they have never been offered that before)
- put mobile phone on to charge
- internet banking - transferred money to sis for a xmas pressie she bought on my behalf - i'd forgotten all about it, so did it while in my head
- sorted out some old sweetie tins to go to food tech department for sending kids goodies home in
- compost is out in the bin
- post dealt with

Remind me why I married a man!!!
The catalogue woman came to drop off one parcel and collect another.. which I had prepared.. but it was upstairs on the bed.. so.. hubby gave her one which has been lurking around for the last 18 months which I had meant to send back.. not got round to it and was gearing up to ebay... what are the odds they open it.. and return it to me and charge me for the privelege!!! I am FURIOUS!!! Sometimes he is so thick.. why didn't he just phone me? It would have taken 3 seconds and avoided the wrath which shall pour upon him later.. and again when I am charged God knows how much..
stupid idiot!!!!
Rosh.. I hate the huge slugs with those white bug things on their backs.. they are GROSS.. and made me shudder just writing it!
Off to update my list...
HHC 10-30-11 anyone???????

That is big! If i'm doing my sums right, LO is only 29 pounds and she's 4!There's 2.2lb to the kg right? Am i being stupid? She was weighed at 13.2kg last week.:o

Not all of them!!
DD2 was 21lb at 2 years!!! lol.. she was 6lb7 at birth so about 'averageish' and only 3 weeks early..
DS1 (7lb 8 at birth) was 19lb at a year and he was the biggest!!
DS3... he was 3lb 10 born.. 10lb at 6 months and 14lb by a year.. but he was quite unwell... some newborns are bigger than he was at a year.. we were looking at pics of him about a year old oddly enoguh and he looked awful.. bony and lifeless.. poor man.. now he chucks hissy fits left right and c centre!! lol
DD4 and 5 are both 32lb.. one if 3 and the other is 5.
Prem babies are supposed to have 'caught up' by the time they are a year.. unless they were very very early or sick.
3 of mine were human vacuums as well.. and DD3 became a human vacuum at about 2., she didn't have solids until she was a year old and when she started she couldn't stop.
washing folded.. some hung out.. there is a strange tinge to the sky today.. looks kind of bluish!! and there is a big shiny orb up there too.. I think I read somewhere about a thing in the sky.. called the sun or something like that... stuff of legend!!
Off to run round the kitchen like a loon then!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Slugs make me want to gag:eek: , we used to have a family of them in the last house (well thats how it seemed). You would come down in the middle of the night (thanks to DD's) and find them in the middle of the kitchen floor. DH summonsed to get rid of them but despite all the ones we removed in the 3 years we lived there we never seemed to get rid of them. The only time you could catch them was after midnight
.
Ok had a quick burst and quite impressed with my half hour madness
So I need to:-
S & S Kitchen (including floors sweep & mop) DONE - needs mopping
S & S lounge - DONE (dusted, hoovered, kids toys removed)
S & S bathroom - DONE
Hoover through - DONE
Decide what to have for tea
Put ironing away
Get WM on
Get BM on
Am cream crackered now though so cuppa then will put littles ironing away. Best get my thinking cap on about tea too.0
