Caught on phone behind wheel! Will insurance shoot up??

Sainsburies are selling blue tooth sets for £9.99. I think they were Jabre. Good make.0

What did people do before mobile phones were invented? It's just not necessary to have one on when you're driving. The OP should let his insurance know asap. The insurance company will advise re raised premiums etc." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

You will get no sympathy here. I would have fined you a thousand quid. People who use mobile phones in then car really annoy me and they cause more accidents than anyone else.0

I have had 3 near misses from pr*cks on mobiles
twice on a roundabouts, at a large roundabout one driver didn't even slow down let alone look right - he had one hand on the wheel and the other holding the phone to his ear- I guess he wouldn't have been able to change gear, if I'd had slower reactions or perhaps been elderly or a new driver I shudder to think what could have happened, as it was I nearly had a heart attack, I'll bet the driver behind me nearly did too, not everyday you have to do an emergency stop on a roundabout.
I never answer my phone in the car - family and friends know I don't and they either leave a voicemail or ring back later.
I agree with Gordylad, I would have fined you a £1000 too.0 -
Spoke to insurance company this years premium unaffected and they said it is very unlikely to affect my renewal. Like I said I know I did wrong and wasn't expecting warm and fluffy replies nor "sympathy" and believe me I won't be doing it ever again thats for sure. But I don't need everyone of you to over emphasise how much of an idiot i was, I made my admission in my OP. So please live and let live. Thank youLive for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0
