Sky card...what would you do?

Hubby made an application, what seems like ages ago now, for the 0% deal until Jan ' 06 and eventually he had the follow-up call and was accepted - can't remember exactly when this was but it was a few weeks ago.

Last Saturday he had the PIN number letter and becuase there was no sign of the card up to yesterday I was concerned and was told that the card would be with us next week.

Now as the deal (in my MSE eyes has been eroded, would it worth kicking up a stick when we eventually do get the card - I see the offer is now 0% until March '06 or do we just accept the effectively 4 month deal and then cancel the card?

    Hi

Im in pretty much the same boat!

Although I havent received the card yet, I have done my BT already (took 5 days-very quick!). My 0% period was for Jan 06-I moaned and they said I would get 0% till at least Feb 06 if not March 06...once I get my card, I will call or email and have another go at them and ask this to be extended. If you dont ask-you dont get..lol.

If my sums are correct, you would have about 6 months 0% not 4 months or have I got that wrong

    Good Luck

If it were my account then I would certainly kick up a fuss but the card's in hubby's name and from previous posts, you know what a devils own job I have of getting him to make a phone call as it is!

Will try the letter/e-mail route though (do you have an email address?) - at least that way I can preted to be hubby!

How did you do a BT...we don't even know his account number yet.

And yes its 6 months...well technically 5 1/2, lol! - far too early in the morning!

Applied for my sky card in May - within two weeks recd phone call and I gave them all my balance transfer details - they advised me to pay the minimum payment just in case it didnt get there for 5.6.05. Ive now been charged £73 interest for June. I telephoned the end of June and they said the balance transfer wouldnt go through for 5th July either - to avoid paying anymore interest I said I would pay the credit card off myself and could I cancel the balance transfer but they said they couldnt do that. Ive paid off the credit card and still waiting the balance transfer to go through - the bank said they would transfer the extra money into my current account!!! Ive now sent two letters to them, asking about this account and as yet havent received any reply. The lady on the phone said she would extend the % to Feb 2006 but I dont think this is good enough and trying to get back the £73. I live in hope. By the way I received my pin last week but as yet no card. This really has been a waste of time. Cant Martin get on their backs and see if he can get any joy?

I'm glad in a way that's not only been me that's disappointed with the service demostrated by Skycard.

My MSE ways must be rubbing off on hubby as when I spoke to him he agreed that applying to skycard seemed to be a waste of time.

When I spoke to the service department they told me that the card would be issued next week.....I wait with baited breath, not!

    Hi mountainofdebt

When I called to see what was happening, the lady offered to do my BT there and then-I still dont know what my card number is...lol. This went through in 5 days. They just took me through security and did it for me. Maybe if you call them they might be able to do it for you..you can but ask!

There are NO FEES at all to do a BT on this card at the moment. I triple checked plus spoke with 2 managers

My card still hasnt arrived and will give them another call today-does anyone have a freephone number for them?

    Thanks
