Hi,
I have a message that pops up everytime I switch on my laptop.
Malicious script detected
X High Risk
Your computer is halted and needs to do something about this script
object File system object
Activity Create Folder
File Sprtsvc.exe
Stop this script Recommended
I select the "stop this script" option each time but it comes up again the next time I switch on.
Its a Dell laptop runing XP with Norton installed and updated.
I am not very techie and don't know what to do next?
Any ideas?

No problem. This is a bi-i-ig site, and it takes a while to find your way around all the forums, especially ones that you may not use very often.:)
I've been caught out more than once, even now, and I have way less excuse for that than most people
