im after a car for £2000 advice please

i was round my friends yesterday and there were some great 2000 and 2001 cars in the auto trader but they were just so far away, i looked on a site called adtrader which is a local site and have thousands of cars, but the newest i can find on there for 2k is a t reg corsa the older shape. so i surposse i will need to look a bit further out

i would be willing to travel about 30-40 miles its just i have to take someone with me to drive my old car home.

what sort of millage would you say was high, most of the cars i have seen are around 50-70k is that to high as i want to keep this car for atleast a 3 years how long will a petrol engine go for i have a diesel at the moment which has just hit 90k and is running great.
