Help Please! No thanks buttons in Firefox!

I have been an avid MSE member (using IE to browse) for a long time now and pride myself on thanking people who've helped me. I have recently started to use Firefox because it has a wonderful add-on to enable me to view details of how long properties have been on the market on 'Rightmove'.
However, with Firefox although the 'quote' button is still available on MSE there are no 'thanks' buttons visible anywhere. I'd be grateful for any advice... but please make it simple as I'm not very techie!

This looks like a oversight on the web developer or software used. You are correct IE is fine but Firefox does not display this button. May be worth reporting to Martin or the web developer of the site to test in Firefox.

Mmmm... I've always had a thanks button there next to the Quote button in FF - strange! Also an Edit button appears on my post in its placeGOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

I can't think of any of the default settings that might cause this problem - nor of any extensions that might do it.

Yes - that's normal.
You can't thank yourself - so there's no thanks button on your own posts.
You do have an edit button so that you can change your posts if needed - and, obviously, there isn't an edit button showing on someone else's posts because you're not allowed to edit another member's valuable offerings

So, if everyone else gets a thanks button when using Firefox then it must be something peculiar to my set up. I've no idea what that could be... only downloaded FF a few days ago so it should be the most up to date version. I am using Firefox 2.0.0.11 and it's fine. I downloaded it last weekend so it's pretty up to date......0

Yes I can see both of those...:beer: thank you so much for posting as, while I was looking at your post, I suddenly had a 'lightbulb moment' and wondered if it was because I was already logged into MSE using IE and then looking using FF too. When I closed IE and refreshed FF I could suddenly see thanks buttons! Hopefully that has solved the problem although I'm such a tec hnophobe I don't hold our too much hope in case they all disappear again!:o“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”
