    As an afterthought....:D

Does it have to be a big 4x4 vehicle? Congestion what it is, lots of vehicles out there - with automatic transmission, that would be more sensible.

jeannie who mentioned a 4x4? the merc a class is the smallest car merc do,i think you are confusing it with the M class or the G class.or maybe the unimog? :D

  • Ahah! Finally im back and hopefully this time the laptop wont die mid post. Thank u for all of your help so far.

The aigo was the one that got me thinking actually - i was talking to the sales guy in brighton town centre the other day and when i mentioned the A Class as an alternative he said no way. The Aigo is very nice - perfect apart from the fact that it has next to no boot space. I would like another baby hopefully due summer next year and the is not much space for a single buggy let alone a double in that boot - a big shame!

Thats why i always thought the Merc A Class would have been perfect - its still small but very spacious and a very comfy drive.

Im now going to see if the C1 comes in an Auto then try and get a look at one - the size of the Aigo inside was great but looking for a bigger boot.

No - please no 4x4's, i dont like em at all - only worth it if you ride around in the hills all day, lol.

So its me, one toddler, space for another baby, and two dogs. The Suzuki Wagon is ideal on paper - BUT im going to be fussy and say im not so keen on the way it looks..... :( sorry!

Looks like i will have to go to a group 2 insurance, hmmmmm!

Also does anyone know where i can get find out what cars are what insurance group and how much road tax to pay etc?

    Thanks again!

    I thought not.

How about a Nissan Note or Honda Jazz?

Search by insurance group here. Some cars in group 1 seem like they might be suitable.

If you are after an Automatic, find your nearest Motability dealer, they will have lots of Autos traded back in - far more than a "normal" garage.

Are you sure you need a car in the lowest insurance group? Have you had quotes for cars in slightly higher groups?

I ask because I recently renewed insurance on one of my cars and it was £185 for a car that the Parkers site referred to above says is in group 10. I would hardly save a lot by going to group 2 or 3.
  • How about a Fiat Panda auto?

Never been very good with the alphabet............ duh - a blonde moment :D

Does Op prefer auto or can only drive auto? Very hard to get auto with small car now. (Manual auto as in Aygo is v popular now).

Plus child, baby later and two dogs..... This is very tricky - what about an estate of some kind?
