It isn't. It's kosher. I've used them before. They've been around for about 15 years I think as part of Burlingtons hair group. ;)

    Thats good, thanks.

Yes, it is part of Burlington hair group (should that mean anything to me, are they well known?).

We have a cut & blow dry each, a mini manicure, a makeover & the photo.

from memory, it was a couple of hundred pounds. bear in mind a print of each picture is about 50 quid. if you pre-order you get them for half price. when we did it there was mum, my sister and me. we each got a free 5x7, and we'd paid for 4 more (100 pounds at half price, i think) so mum got to choose 7 pics in total.

when they arrived we scanned them at high resolution and blew them up to 10x8/took extra copies etc.

i wouldn't have bought a cd - there were too many dud pics for that!!!

Yes, its still the same. pre-ordered are half price.

I'm not after the big pics.

But I would like the CD so I can email the pics about to my mates :o be great to have a decent photo for once.

Anyone know what they are likely to drop the price of the CD to?

    don't do it!!!

we didn't buy big prints, we scanned the small ones and then got them printed at Boots (or somewhere) bigger. And having scanned them we've got them electronically ;)

much cheaper way to do it than buying a cd for several hundred pounds!

Not a chance in the world of me spending that much on a CD of pics:rotfl:

    I only want 5 x 7, I prefer them. I didn't know you could scan photos onto the PC:o :o:o:o:o:o

I've paid for one, if they offer it to me for £50 (or less) but I don't want it that bad.

Daughter would probably like loads of hers though:eek:

i like the 5x7 too, but it was mum's 50th and she wanted the ones of the 3 of us a bit bigger.

you'd need a scanner (or a friend with one) or i think you can even do it at boots/jessops etc!

    Went there.

Great haircut. OK make up (no better than my own & I probably use better products too).

    We liked 6 photos.

    Got 2 in the package.

Bought 4 (3 small, 1 med) +£110:o :o:o:o:o:o:o:o

They were nice & it was her 21st:eek:

I REALLY didn't think I would have bought any.

CD of one print they wanted £100 for:mad:    £100 for a CD with one pic:eek:   I thought you would get them all on it for that:rolleyes:

Anyone got a better deal from them than £110 for 3 small & 1 med?
  • Went to the London New ID studio a couple of years back now with sister and niece. One thing I was annoyed about was that at that time they didn't make it clear that the 'free' pic could only be a photo of us by ourselves so if we wanted a group shot we had to buy it  .

As it is, we did buy the CD which was £200  so £100 between me n sis but didn't mind paying as got all the pics taken that day. The hard sell bit can be quite funny if you're expecting it, not sure how old your daughter is but they gave us a load of spiel about my 11 year old niece having model looks (of course she does:D) and being able to use the photos for a portfolio blah blah blah.

I just print em off using my photo printer at whatever size and they look just as good as the professional one I got given. I know through a friend who works at Boots that they are very careful about printing off pics that are copyrighted (usually it says that on the back of the photo?). The photo's on the CD I got weren't but not sure if this is still the case?

Apart from that it was quite a fun experience, have a great time

So you got the CD for £200 of all the pics of all of you? (all three of you or all two of you?)

Not bad when you think I paid £110 for 4.

DD is 21, so not young enough to fall for a soft soap.

Yes, I wanted the joint pic too & I had to pay for that.

I would imagine for £200 for the CD that you are buying the copyright to the pics as well as the pics themselves. That is probably how they justify charging so much.

Keen to hear how you get on with it.
