I think the car battery can go up to 14V when charging?
I'd personally opt for a laptop and a usb tv freeview stick, as you could see vids/surf too.
I also would not plug it straight in, but would rather go through an inverter.GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.
