Congrats matey,I completed in Oct, very nervous throughout of the sale as I knew if the guy pulled out, my house would be back on the market at a price £25K below what it sold for.Renting is the future (well atleast for the next 2 years ) !!!!!!!!!!!0

naturally, it doesnt happen often, but do not forget that something is not actually sold until its completed. I am sure for those it has happened to, it wasnt nice and in some cases they thought it wouldnt happen to them.
I dont work on EA sales (which should have less complications) but on development, investment and land projects for retained clients and this happened 3 times in 2007 for one reason or another. Twice since the "credit crunch" and once in April 2007 (which happened over a tresspasser dispute). It just shows, you need to keep tabs and on top of things right until the end unless you want to feel sick to the pit of your stomach. In my area you can gain an exchange on 5% and in a rising market some developers may see the 5% as nothing more than an option, which isnt great, but you take people on their word.
