i think you had a fantastic bargain.
WELL DONE

£141 to run the risk of excrement being thrown at your children? "Fantastic bargain"?

Are you a parent?

Risky, two things I will say

Firstly, as others have suggested you have got a really cheap price, however consider allowing additional budget incase this hotel is as bad as some of the reviews state (although I generally do not trust really bad reviews since they often relate to people venting) .. at least then you can move hotel and have the bidget to do so.

Secondly beware some of the cheap car rentals .. the car may be barely fit for the road. There have been horror stories about how dangerous some of the cheap rentals can be (and you have your childrens safety to think about). Again put a little bit aside in case you are not happy with the supplied car, then you can maybe upgrade it to something you are.

I hope things work out for you but at that sort of price don't take anything for granted ... it may not end up being value for money ... put a few extra shekels in the holiday kitty, hopefully you don't need them.

I would have thought the hotel will be totally different at Easter as opposed to the peak summer months in a busy resort, totally different reviews.
If the hotel is not up to standard when you arrive ask Thomsons to be changed to another, but only if it is totally not as stated.
Still, great deal - hope all goes well, post when you return.

Some good reviews here;

The bad reviews seem from the high peak summer months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Risky, well done on your great deal.I went away last year and was led to believe by reviews that my apartment would be full of sex tourists and ladies of the night! Well all I can say is if I was looking for that-I'd have been very dissapointed:rotfl: Have a back up plan as someone else noted If you want, but judge it for yourself, not by someonelses comments.Have a great time!!!

Perhaps we have differing opinions as to what would constitute a "good review". The Easter reviews don't look any better than the summer ones. I've stayed in places where they run club 18-30s during the Easter period and they are packed at this time of year.

I think the OP would be very wise to do some research into alternative accomodationin case they arrive and this one is not suitable and also have a UK number for Thompson to hand as it looks like the local reps are a complete shower. Admittedly they are only staying for four nights, but you couldn't pay me to stay somewhere that has as dumpy reviews as this.

From your link:
In saying that I would strongly reccommend that if you are travelling with kids to stay at the Tropico across the road as this is much more suited.
AVOID this hotel high season if you are over 30 years old, or have even the tiniest liking for the nicer things in life.

During the first week of August this hotel was full of drunken youths - shouting, urinating in the corridors, fighting, vomiting, throwing chairs and bottles from balconies and generally making pleasant quality time in the hotel impossible.

We expected a lively holiday in Magaluf in August and we are NOT killjoys or ancient - but this experience was beyond belief. It was like being in a war zone. As for the surroundings, this hotel is not a three star in our opinion; it is no more than a one star. It has a feeling of neglect and is a complete dump.

The cleaners are terrible. OK, they have awful guests to deal with so have probably given up, but they could at least have changed our towels without having to be asked. The cooker was ingrained with the previous occupants bacon fat, and the toilet was OK but not very clean. I found hairs and dirt in the wardrobe..

I would never, ever go back to this hotel again.
When we booked this holiday we were told the Fiesta Sahara would be a suitable base for all our party whose ages ranged from 3 to 73. Oh , if only we knew!

There were only 2 quiet periods during each day, one from 7am to10am the other from 12 midnight to 2am, the rest of the time the noise from the 18-30's groups was horrendous! Doors slamming, shouting, music blaring out, fighting. Don’t go if you want to sleep at all.
I will never go to this hotel again.
We went to the Fiesta Sahara on a family holiday in May,and were disgusted with what we saw here.

This is not a family hotel young men being sick around the pool area on a day time ,drunken people running around the corridors all night, banging on doors, shouting all night.

Its full of stag and hen parties and unless your drunk you,ll never sleep.
Families and this age group do not mix well especially as they are loud between 3am-6am jumping in the pool and shouting screaming fighting and swearing. It was a shame but you hire a fan and close your doors and you can't hear them unless they decide to give you a ring at 4am or coming banging on the doors. I felt sorry for the Fiesta staff they are trying to get things sorted but they don’t get the backing of the reps unless you phone the out of hours phone number then something gets sorted.

You wake up in morn soaking with sweat room fans are rubbish and if you open the doors the noise between 4 and 6.30 is unbelievable.
Thats when all the teens come back from their clubs and start slamming doors screaming and jumping in pool. Thought security could have been a lot better. Skytours shoud state more clearly this is a 18 to 30 hotel.

Thanks for the pointer, Risky. I have booked the flights, but went for the Bonaire hotel in Cala Bona, was more expensive -£92 - but still great value for a 4 star hotel and gets great reviews on Trip Advisor. Car hire is the same price with carjet, haven't booked that yet. Comes to £238 for 4 of us including car hire and airport parking at Stansted. Much cheaper than a short break in the UK!
