Old style paper licence valid in US ?
Comments
-
I used my old paper license last time I was in the States, and it scared the hell out the highway patrol (twice) who pulled me over for speeding (it was I10, Arizona, I hadn't see a car for 3 hours and I was doing 72). They seemed too scared of the potential paperwork and wished me well and on my way.
So there are some benefits!0 -
We were in Florida last October and both husband and I have old paper license - it wasn't a problem at all. There was a guy in the queue with who had the new license and no paperwork - and although it says you need both, he went into a mild panic when he realised you needed both, he went off to speak to someone and when he came back he was able to hire his car with just the photo card. Mind this was Sanford where they get all the British Charter flights, so I'm not sure what it will be like anywhere else.
Though didn't have a problem at San Francisco airport either.0
