EBay: Any 'dodgy' places to sell to?

I've only ever shipped to countries in the EU with no problems..
But for places like Nigeria, it would depend on the item value and their feedback.0 -
The good thing about posting abroad is that royal mail refund pretty much straight away as they cannot track items once they have left the uk, but you must pay for extra cover or you will only get £32 back otherwiseand kepp hold of proof of posting0

i've had a message today from a buyer in italy telling me that their item has not been received yet. it was sent on 17th january. probably isn't going to turn up.0

Simply: bank transfers and international insurance.
It'll be more expensive, but the buyer should be covering that anyway.
Otherwise you run huge risks with lost parcels or scammers. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I recently sent two seperate items to Italy. Both buyers opened Paypal Disputes when they hadn't arrived. Eventually both cancelled dispute when the items arrived after about four weeks. I think it is their postal system or their customs that are at fault. I now longer sell to Italy.i've had a message today from a buyer in italy telling me that their item has not been received yet. it was sent on 17th january. probably isn't going to turn up.
Cheers

IIRC Italian customs open every package that enters which is why it takes so long0

my package to italy turned up the day after the buyer emailed me

but i've had a package sent to the czech republic go missing since0 -
Everything I post overseas gets
sent out on either Airsure or
International signed for on arrival.
No exceptions
That way if it goes missing you
can at least get refunded.
Not lost anything since doing this
even to Italy and especially there
were lots seem to go astray.
Mentioning cosmetics to Germany
there are loads of restrictions in
Italy as well. You cant send shoes
and boots there, had a real hassle
with some satin wedding shoes
a bidder from Italy bought. It was
only the sheer determination of the
bidder and her family that the
customs people let her have them.
They went into their customs office
and caused merry hell they were I think
handed over to get them out of the building.:j:j:j0 -
i only send by international signed for or airsure if value is above £34
whenever i have claimed for international items that have gone missing with just a certificate of posting i have been given postage costs back too0
