Advice needed, is this a good deal?

I am new to this bit of the forum so sorry if these seem silly questions. I have been looking in OSPS website at this deal http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/ourdeals.php?CNO=1&PROV=VODA&TAR=&OFF=VV550
except with the 12 months deal (£4.99 a month for 12 months). To me this seems like a good deal, which as I understand it the reduced price is via cashback (?), the question is, is this a good deal or have I missed something here? Also does anyone have one of these phones, are they any good? Any other advice you'd like to impart? I only have a PAYG at the moment.

Bascially it seems like a good deal for the line rental. Be sure to cancel it though after month 12, because that tariff is not worth £30.

The value would really all depend on how much you use the phone. If you don't use it much, then it's fine, if you're going to use a lot above the inclusive minutes, it's not a great tariff, because the call charges are quite expensive outside the allocated minutes.

Bear in mind:
- You'll have to pay up first and get the cashback later, some complaints about OSPS, so be a bit careful.
- The V550 is a good phone although nothing special by today's standards.
